Annual Distribution
Tuaropaki Trustees declare an annual distribution at the end of each year, which is advised in the annual report and paid by direct credit to shareholders in December.
If you are a shareholder and have not received an annual distribution it may be that we do not have your contact details or current account number. Please contact us.
Education
Tuaropaki has a policy for the payment of education grants to those studying at Institutions approved by the Ministry of Education: University, Polytech or Wananga, year 11, 12 or 13 full-time students and year 9-11 students enrolled in at least one year 11 subject. Grants are paid by direct credit.
Application forms will be available in the New Year.
Applications close 31st March.
Scholarships
Tuaropaki provides scholarships in the area of science (geology (geothermal)/ engineering), science (horticulture/agriculture),business studies (economics/finances/commerce) and Maori (language/culture/development).
We have chosen a structure of monies granted annually to the successful applicants over a period of three years. Successful applicants will be required to successfully complete/pass enrolled papers each year.
2009 application forms will be available in the New Year.
Applications close 20th May.

Kaumatua Application Forms
Tuaropki has a policy of offering Kaumatua Grants to its registered owners or beneficiaries of Whanau Trusts registered as owners within the Tuaropaki Trust, aged 60 years and over.
Applications are available for individual shareholders or Whanau Trusts.
2009 application forms will be available toward the end of 2008 with applications closing 28 February.

Maori Land Court
The Maori Land Court is set up under the Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993 and has jurisdiction to hear matters relating to Maori land.
One of the principal matters in which the Maori Land Court has jurisdiction under Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993 is succession orders in respect of interests in Maori land. The Court has power to make vesting orders to those proven to be entitled to succeed.
