The farm management team is headed by Peter Keeling of Wilson Keeling
Farm Consultants, Te Kuiti. There are two business units, the sheep,
cattle and deer breeding and fattening (the station) and the dairy
farm.
Dairy Farm
The dairy farm is operated under a 50/50 share milking agreement,
whereby the Trust provides the land and pasture and sharemilkers
Alex and Chereese Henare the cows and management. The dairy farm occupies
23% of farm land area and is currently milking 1350 cows on a milking
area of 510 hectares. To enable more cows to be milked and improve
the operation of the dairy farm a new 64 bale rotary cow shed has
been built.
